Some of these factories were contracted to produce knives on an OEM basis for world-famous brands, and some of them produced knives that became record-breaking hits around the world. At that time, there was a knife boom in Japan and many people owned domestically produced knives. Today, very few manufacturers produce knives in Seki City. The typical style of folding knife was called "backstop Itto" at that time. Without changing the way of making knives in those good old days, skilled craftsmen finished knives in a direct manner. It is precisely because it is now in this era that its value is increasing.
