This SCOTTISH style Sgain Dubh features a very beautiful design with 256 layers damascus blade. The high quality blade is comprised of 100's of layers of pattern welded high carbon steel (1084) and mild steel (WS1).  The alternating layers of hard and soft bestow more flexibility and toughness to the steel than a solid homogeneous blade , and act much like serrations on the edge to aid in cutting.  The Rosewood handle is carved. The handle is well balanced with the blade while the knife fits into a Top Grain Brown Leather Sheath with belt loop.   Overall Length: 9.5 inchs. DM-1263
