The ULU (OO-loo) is an extremely versatile cutting tool, first crafted over five thousand years ago. The knife was primarily used for skinning and cleaning fish and has played an important role in the survival of the Arctic people.

Perfect for your kitchen or outdoor needs. The ulu knife makes cutting more efficient because of the rocking motion that both slices and holds your chow in place, when using. If you don’t own an ulu, you’re seriously missing an important and effective tool.

Full tang construction. The wide and beefy stainless steel blade is keenly sharp, allowing you to put it up against any slicing or cutting task, whether it’s at home or on the hunt. They have a great appearance with a clean cut.

The handle is beautifully polished, the center is real animal bone with black horn on both ends and includes both brass spacers and pins. Designed to feel comfortable and natural in the hand. Even in different conditions, you'll feel confident that the knife will stay firmly within your grasp. A quick note about the bone and horn, for those not familiar with bone or horn items. They're not all perfectly white or black, the color shades can vary a bit and they tend to come the odd blemish here or there. No two are exactly the same, and can vary a bit from the one I took the pictures of.

The ulu knife is protected by a genuine  leather sheath with an embossed Rite Edge logo and a secure button snap closure. For carrying on the back there's a belt loop.
