Description

A long time favorite of LEO, active duty military, and everyday citizens, users love the Street Scalpel because of the slim, easy to conceal profile and stout, razor-like blade. The Street Scalpel 2.0 supplements the original for some variety, having all the great features of the original with some functional alterations. The handle has been slightly modified to offer more of a finger guard and the blade steel was thinned to 3/16” to offer a finer edge. This version comes with Black Canvas Micarta handle scales and a Black Traction Coating finish.

Blade: The straight spine blade is made from thinner, 3/16" thick 1095 high carbon tool steel, enhancing slicing performance over the original while retaining strength for heavier use. The unique grind delivers a balance of strength and slicing performance with the full thickness of the spine extending half way down the blade and transitioning dramatically to a thin, full flat grind. Black traction coating provides a durable and non-reflective corrosion resistant finish. Jimping on the spine enhances traction in the hand for added control.

Handle: Durable, high traction Black Canvas Micarta handle scales are attached to the full tang blade with blade stainless hardware over contrasting red liners for a classic, rugged look. The handles are contoured and comfortable for extended use and easy to grip even when wet. An updated finger guard enhances security in-hand while the exposed tang pommel provides a striking tool and attachment point for the included lanyard.

Sheath: Included a custom molded Black Kydex Sheath with Beta Loops for multiple carry options.

1095 High Carbon Tool Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.
