Designed by personal-defense authority Michael Janich, Spyderco’s original Ronin fixed blade was instrumental in popularizing the wharncliffe blade shape as a self-defense tool. Now that concept is back and better than ever with the new, improved Ronin 2. Crafted from corrosion-resistant CTS® BD1 stainless steel, the Ronin 2 features a broad, hollow-ground blade with a full thickness spine, a perfectly straight cutting edge, and an acutely tapered point. The synergy of these elements provides an exceptional combination of strength and edge geometry and enables the Ronin 2 to cut with unrelenting power all the way to the point. Exceptionally thin, textured G-10 scales bolted to the full tang guarantee a secure grip and work in concert with an understated integral guard to protect the hand from the edge during thrusting tactics. The handle’s flat profile and the blade’s contoured thumb ramp also create exceptional ergonomics, allowing instinctive orientation of the edge and making the knife feel like a natural extension of the hand. Slim, flat, and weighing less than four ounces, the Ronin 2 comes complete with a custom-molded Boltaron® sheath. The sheath includes a versatile G-Clip attachment that is fully configurable to support a wide range of carry positions.
